How much CBD to Take?

This is a question we hear all the time.  Unfortunately, there is not an exact scientific answer to the question.  We have done some testing and lots of research on this topic and wanted to provide a best use guide.  Let’s start with the easy one.
 
Can I take too much CBD?    NO*!  At this time, there have been no studies that have shown you can take too much.  *That doesn’t mean you should go out there and overdose your daily CBD.   On the other hand, not enough absolutely does provide lackluster results.  All our research shows that getting the right amount by listening to your body is really the key.  So what is the right amount you ask?  Great question, it’s actually a two-part answer. The right amount of CBD depends on two factors: (1) your size (weight) and (2) the severity of your condition.

Let’s put this into some real world scenarios:

Example one, let’s say you just need something to take the edge off of life.  You weigh 130 lbs and life’s stresses are just getting you down.  Starting on the low side would be ideal.  5-10 mg is a great starting dose for a person like this.  Start with once a day, say 5mg in your morning coffee, and build from there.  As you continue to move up in volume, consider changing to twice daily.  Again, the key is to listen to your body.

Example two, let’s say you weigh 170 lbs and are dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy.  Starting out at a severe dose would be ideal here.  10 mg in the morning and 5 mg afternoon would be good starting point, and moving up until you find the relief you are looking for.

Example three, you just turned the magical 40 and decided you’re going to get into shape, but quickly realize you’re not as young as you used to be.  The aches and pains from your workouts are getting in the way of your new goal.  Starting with a mild daily dose of CBD and working towards a medium dose is a great way to get over those pains and mental block to push ahead!

These are just some suggested guidelines to get you started.  

 

Slow and steady wins the race!

Another key to CBD is slow and steady.  Large shots of CBD are great for quick fixes like a headache, but “microdosing” is the best use of CBD.  Taking small amounts everyday will give you optimal results, especially when using full spectrum CBD, which provides you with all the cannabinoids.
